Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Fight Search uses cookies, local storage, device identifiers, and similar technologies when you use the app or our marketing website (www.fight-search.com).

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Note: Fight Search is currently operated by two founders and is not yet operating under a separate legal entity (“we”, “us”, “our”).

You can contact us about privacy and cookies at: info@fight-search.com.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your device or browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, device identifiers, and tokens used to keep you signed in or provide app features.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in and manage your session.
  • Protect accounts and prevent abuse.
  • Remember basic preferences and app state.
  • Show maps on gym and organisation profiles.
  • Understand how our marketing website is used, with your consent.
  • Support push notifications if you enable them.

3. Types Of Cookies We Use

Essential cookies and similar technologies

These are required for Fight Search to function. They include authentication and session data, security-related storage, and basic app state. Because they are necessary to provide the service, they cannot be disabled through Fight Search without affecting core functionality.

Analytics (marketing website only)

The Fight Search app does not currently use analytics cookies. On our public marketing website, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example pages viewed, approximate location, and device and browser type). Google Analytics is loaded only after you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you reject, it is not loaded. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.

Maps

Gym and organisation profiles display a map provided by Google Maps. Loading the map connects your browser to Google, which receives technical data such as your IP address and may set cookies or use similar technologies, as described in Google's own privacy policy.

Notification-related storage

If you enable push notifications, we may store device or browser notification tokens so we can send relevant service notifications.

4. Third-Party Providers

Some cookies or similar technologies may be set or used by service providers that help us operate Fight Search.

These may include:

  • Supabase, for authentication, database, backend functions, and infrastructure.
  • Google (Google Maps), for maps shown on gym and organisation profiles.
  • Google (Google Analytics), for analytics on our marketing website only, and only with your consent.
  • Firebase, for push notifications.

5. Managing Cookies

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. You can also block some cookies, but doing so may prevent parts of Fight Search from working correctly.

On our marketing website, you can change your analytics choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. If you reject analytics after previously accepting, Google Analytics stops and its cookies are removed.

Push notifications can be disabled through your device or browser notification settings.

6. Changes To This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify users through the app or by email where appropriate.
